About Our Church

Our Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

The “Mission” statement of this church is the same for every Christian and every congregation. How we go about fulfilling our mission must be open to change. We need to look at changing our systems, structures, and leadership behavior; not simply because change may be in fashion, but also to be more effective for our Lord and our calling.

Vision Statement

It is the “Vision” of this pastor to move as a congregation; this people, into the realm of God, whereby we will function in all of the principles and practices of the “First Century Church”, and to lead us that we might become “Kingdom People”.

The “Vision” of this church is to become equipped in and effective users of the Word of God, and to surrender our whole self to the one true God.

We would count it a privilege to have you come worship with us this Sunday. It is our desire to live out, through example the faith we profess and believe. Receiving you into this wonderful family is not only special, but scriptural.

Church History

The historical Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. was founded in the year of 1866, only a few years following the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The founding fathers established this house of worship to give African Americans of the community the opportunity to freely worship God in their environment.

46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Acts 2: 46-47 | New King James Version
